Getting Started
How do I get started with GenCare?
It's simple. Call us on 1300-247-788, fill in our online enquiry form, or have your Support Coordinator refer you. We respond within 2 hours. The initial consultation is free and completely no-obligation — we just want to understand your situation and how we can genuinely help.
What if I don't have an NDIS plan yet?
We can help. Many families come to us before they have a plan — that's completely fine. We can help you understand NDIS eligibility criteria, guide you through the access request process, and help you prepare for your planning meeting. This support is entirely free of charge.
How quickly can support start?
Once we've confirmed your NDIS plan and completed the necessary intake process, support can typically start within 1–2 weeks. For urgent situations, we work to fast-track intake where possible. Contact us and tell us about your timeline — we'll do everything we can.
Your Support
Will I always get the same support workers?
Yes — this is one of the things we feel most strongly about. We carefully match you with support workers based on your personality, cultural background, care needs and goals. Once that match is made, we keep those workers consistent. Consistency builds trust, and trust builds independence. Worker consistency is a commitment we make to every participant.
Do you support culturally diverse participants?
Absolutely. Our team speaks multiple languages and has deep cultural knowledge across Australia's diverse communities. Culturally safe, inclusive care is central to everything we do. We work hard to match participants with workers from the same or familiar cultural backgrounds where possible. Please let us know your cultural preferences and we'll do our best to accommodate them.
What if I'm not happy with my support?
Your satisfaction and safety are our highest priorities. If you're not happy with anything — a support worker, the quality of care, or how something was handled — we want to know immediately. Contact your coordinator directly, call us on 1300-247-788, or use our Feedback & Complaints form. We take every concern seriously and respond within 2 business days. We also have a formal complaints process compliant with NDIS standards.
NDIS & Funding
How do Support Coordinators refer participants to GenCare?
Use our online referral form at gencareservices.com.au/make-a-referral, or email info@gencareservices.com with participant details and any relevant documentation. We confirm intake within 24 hours. Support Coordinators can also call us directly on 1300-247-788.
