What is Daily Personal Activities?

Core support for everyday living

Daily Personal Activities is an NDIS Core Support that funds in-home assistance with personal care tasks. If your disability means you need help with daily routines — bathing, dressing, preparing meals, taking medication or getting around your home — this support covers it.

GenCare personal care is delivered in your home, by consistent trained support workers, on the days and times that fit your life. We do not use agency-rostered workers who rotate — we match you with someone who knows your routine and stays with you.

Yes. GenCare provides both active overnight support (a worker awake and active during the night) and sleepover shifts (a worker on-site and available if needed). The appropriate option depends on your support needs — our team will advise based on your situation.
We match participants based on support needs, communication style, language preferences, gender preferences and shift availability. Personal care is an intimate support area and we take matching seriously — if your first worker is not the right fit, we will rematch until it is.
Yes. GenCare operates on a consistent worker model — where possible, the same worker attends every shift. If you have a preference for gender, language or cultural background, tell us and we will take this into account when matching.
GenCare personal care support is available across Melbourne's western suburbs (Melton, Werribee, Deanside, Tarneit, Albion and surrounds), Sydney's western suburbs, and selected areas in other states. Call 1300-247-788 to confirm coverage in your area.
We respond to all enquiries within 1 business day. Subject to worker availability in your area, most participants can commence personal care support within 5–10 business days. Urgent starts are handled on a priority basis — call 1300-247-788 if you have an urgent need.
Yes. GenCare personal care support is available Monday to Sunday, including public holidays. Shift times are flexible — morning, midday, afternoon, evening, overnight and sleepover shifts can all be arranged based on your rostered hours and needs.
Yes. GenCare workers are trained to deliver high-intensity personal care including complex bowel care, enteral feeding, urinary catheter management and subcutaneous injections, where they hold the required competencies. This is arranged on a case-by-case basis at enquiry.
Support Coordinators can refer participants via our online referral form at /make-a-referral or by calling 1300-247-788. We respond within 1 business day and will discuss the participant's support schedule, needs and preferred worker characteristics directly with you.
